Emergency Closings as Needed

If there is a need to alter the school day due to bad weather or an emergency, no water, lights etc... a decision will be made and the following media will be notified by 6:30 a. m. or earlier.

Emergency Closing Information

The following is a list of procedures to follow in the event of inclement weather which could threaten the closing of school. Every effort will be made to have school, but the safety of the students will be our top priority. In case of bad weather, one or more of the following alternatives will be considered:

1. Have school and run buses as usual.
2. Open school one or more hours later than usual.
3. Dismiss school one or more hours earlier than usual.
4. Open late but do not run the buses. If this alternative is used,
   the judgment of the parents of whether to send the child to
   school or not will be respected. Non-attending students would be
   allowed to make up work.

In the event of threatening weather, please stay tuned to one or more of the following broadcast media:

Please do not call the school to ask if it will be open. This ties up the telephone lines and hinders the carrying out of emergency procedures.
