Week of April 11th-16th

Congratulations to our FFA judging teams!  Junior, Robbi Barnett was named district champion at livestock judging.  Barnett placed 6th out of 212 competitors at the Area competition and place 1st in of our district.  The livestock team placed 8th in district this year.  This team also includes Lyndsey Price, Dakota Burt, and Patrick Bavousett.  The Cotton Team place 1st in Area and 1st in district at the Clarendon College competition and qualified to compete at State.  Members of the cotton team are Becca Lindop, Dalton Price, Savanah Cato,  Ethan Cato, Anthony Perez, and Joey Arispe.

Members of the Golf team will be competing at Baird this Monday in the district golf tournament.  Members of the golf team include McKenna Hopkins, Michaela Thomas, and Madison Templeton.  These ladies placed 2nd at the Stamford invitational tournament this week.  Members of the boys team include Daly Welch, Dalton Price, Tyler Runnells, Colton Clouse, Anthony Perez, Harrison Thweatt, and Matt Templeton.

The JH track teams will compete in their district meet on Fri. April. 15th in Crowell.  Members of the girls track team include Lyndsey Price, Dakota Burt, Dallis Villarreal, and Josephine Muncrief.  Members of the boys team include Jakeb Welch, Mason Seguine, Colton Hibbitts, Blade Montgomery, Shawn Bavousett, and Hunter Hopkins.

Colton Clouse is in the student spotlight this week.  Colton is a sophomore and attends HHS with his younger brother Buster Clouse.  Clouse is the son of Sherri and Tim Clouse of Harrold.  Colton participates in football, basketball, track, golf, FFA, and UIL.  He has attended Harrold for 8 years.  In his spare time, Colton enjoys playing the guitar.  After high school Clouse plans to attend the Air Force Academy.  Some of his favorites include peach mango orange juice, chicken fried steak, and the 72 Corvette.  Colton named his dad as his role model “because he is a very smart person”.
